Description

The papaya (Carica papaya) cultivate honey dew is one of the most popular cultivars in India; semi-dwarf, ginodiotic (some trees have only female flowers and others only hermaphrodite flowers), highly productive, with fruits of medium to large size and average weight of 1.5 to 2.0 kilograms.

It has reddish orange pulp of excellent quality, refreshing, sweet and very tasty. The variety can be kept pure, growing in isolation. Due to the excellent quality of the fruits, it has a good market value.

Fruits of hermaphrodite trees are elongated and oval, female is ovoid.

It begins to produce between 8 and 10 months after planting.

The seedlings should be transplanted to final location when they are between 15 and 20 centimeters high, usually 30 days after the germination of the seeds.

It prefers planting in deep soils, argillaceous, fertile and humid, without watering.
